Hank Albert Azaria (born April 25, 1964 in Queens,
New York) is an United States|American actor born
to a Jewish family of Greek origins, who is best
known for his voice actor|voice work on the
animated television show The Simpsons. He has
provided the voices for over 160 characters on the
show including those of Apu Nahasapeemapetilon,
Moe Szyslak, Police Chief Chief Clancy
Wiggum|Clancy Wiggum, Comic Book Guy, Cletus
Delroy|Cletus and Professor Frink.

He has also appeared in movies such as Mystery Men
and America's Sweethearts and on television in
Herman's Head as Jay Nichols and in Friends where
he played the recurring character David, one of
Phoebe Buffay|Phoebe’s boyfriends.  On the
show Mad About You, he had a recurring role as
Nat, the Dogwalker.

Azaria also provided the voice of Venom
(comics)|Eddie Brock in the Spider-Man animated
series of the mid-1990s.

He has also shown his talents on theatre|stage, in
2003 he appeared in London's West End as Bernard
in Sexual Perversity in Chicago. Matthew Perry
(Chandler Bing in Friends) and Minnie Driver also
starred. 

Hank Azaria can now be found starring as the title
character, psychiatrist Craig "Huff" Huffstodt, in
Huff (TV series)|Huff which is shown on Showtime.
He is also currently appearing in the musical
theatre|musical version of Monty Python and the
Holy Grail entitled Spamalot, which opened in
Chicago, Illinois in December 2004 and has since
moved to Broadway.  In 2005, he was nominated for
a Tony Award for his role in Spamalot.

==Personal life==

After several years of living together, Azaria
married actor|actress Helen Hunt on July 18, 1999.
The couple divorced on December 18, 2000.
