Biography of Doon Mackichan -

Doon Mackichan (born 1962, Fife, Scotland) is a
British comedian. She is probably best known as
one of the writers and stars of the Channel 4
comedy series Smack the Pony.  Prior to this she
appeared in Chris Morris's BBC comedy series The
Day Today, where she played a number of roles,
including business news reporter Collaterlie
Sisters, and his controversial Channel 4 comedy
series Brass Eye. She also regulary appeared in
the popular comedy series Knowing Me, Knowing You.

She was a contestant in the 2003 BBC charity
singing contest, Fame Academy|Comic Relief Does
Fame Academy, in which she came fourth. She also
had a part in the 1998 movie, The Borrowers, in
which she played the part of Victoria Lender, and
the 1995 comedy Glam Metal Detectives.

More recently, she has narrated several TV series,
including The Honey Trap and Bank of Mum and Dad.
